Today the Executive Office of Health and Human Services issued new guidelines for Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, and Congregate Care facilities as we move forward with the final stage of the state’s reopening.

These changes affect the minimum standards allowable as a higher percentage of the Commonwealth’s residents, particularly seniors and the informed, become vaccinated. Among the changes include updated guidelines for visitors of residents in long-term care, assisted living facilities, and congregate care, the minimum square footage requirements for day programs, and adjustments for healthcare providers’ minimum requirements of protections for workers and patients.
