Help with State Agencies
Many issues involving our state government are complicated. As a senator, one of my responsibilities is to help my constituents navigate government and ensure that their problems are resolved in a timely manner.
Unfortunately, there are some matters which my office cannot intervene in. My office is prevented from intervening in any cases which involve ongoing litigation or judicial proceedings.
In addition, for problems or questions involving the federal government, you should contact your United States Senators or Congressperson and request assistance from their office:
- US Senator Elizabeth Warren
- US Senator Edward Markey
- Congressman Stephen Lynch
- Congressman William Keating
Federal Cases Involve:
- Social Security Insurance / Social Security Disability Insurance
- Issues with passports
- Booking tours in Washington, D.C.
- Questions regarding congressional internships or page programs in Washington, D.C.
- Questions or input on federal legislation filed by a U.S. Senator or U.S. Congressperson
Visiting the State House
The Secretary of the Commonwealth – State House Tours Division offers both guided and self-led tours of the Massachusetts State House. Those requesting guided tours are asked to schedule in advance by calling 617-722-1650. Tours are given weekdays year-round from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm, and are free of charge. The building is open for self-led tours from 8:45 am until 5:00 pm. We are also always happy to welcome schools from my district for a tour of the State House. Please contact our office for more details.
